Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the vegetable juice: In a blender, combine the cherry tomatoes, celery, and red bell pepper. Pulse a few times to initiate the process. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely liquefied. (30 seconds)

03

Step

Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl to remove the seeds and skins. Use a spatula to press the solids and extract as much liquid as possible. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Rim the glass: On a small plate, combine the flake salt, black pepper, and chili pepper. Rub the rim of a serving glass with a lime wedge. (1 minute)

05

Step

Invert the glass and dip the rim into the salt mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. (30 seconds)

06

Step

Assemble the Michelada: Fill the prepared glass with ice. Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and soy sauce. (1 minute)

07

Step

Pour in the freshly made vegetable juice and the juice from the remaining half of the lime. (30 seconds)

08

Step

Fill the glass about 3/4 full with the ice-cold Mexican lager. Stir gently to combine. (1 minute)

09

Step

Top off with a bit more beer, if needed. Garnish with a lime slice, and serve immediately. (30 seconds)

For the best flavor, use ripe, sweet cherry tomatoes.
Adjust the amount of hot sauce and chili pepper to your preference.
Feel free to experiment with other types of Mexican lager. A crisp pilsner would also work well.
Make the vegetable juice ahead of time and chill for even more refreshment.
