Follow The Directions

01

Step

Melt butter and olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

02

Step

Add milk, bouillon, oregano, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

03

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together cold water and cornstarch until smooth. Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the sauce, followed by the grilled chicken chunks. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is heated through, approximately 5 minutes.

04

Step

Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente, about 11 minutes. Drain well.

05

Step

Reduce the heat under the sauce to low. Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and lemon zest. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until the sauce is heated through and the flavors have infused.

06

Step

Add the cooked linguine to the saucepan and toss gently to coat evenly with the lemon-butter sauce. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish generously with grated Parmesan cheese.

For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your preference.
Fresh oregano can be substituted for dried oregano; use about 1 tablespoon of fresh oregano.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.
Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
