Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides. This should take about 3-5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

02

Step
25 mins

In the same skillet, add the sweet potato pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften and brown slightly, approximately 5-10 minutes. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.

03

Step
5 mins

Pour in the Irish whiskey, allowing it to deglaze the pan for added flavor. Add the minced fresh sage, pear pieces, and water. Stir well to combine. Partially cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer until the chicken is cooked through and the sweet potatoes are tender, around 10 minutes.

04

Step

Remove the lid and add the baby spinach to the skillet. Cook, stirring gently, until the spinach wilts, about 5 minutes.

05

Step

Stir in the toasted hazelnuts. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

For a richer flavor, try using chicken thighs instead of chicken breast.
If you don't have Irish whiskey, you can substitute with bourbon or apple cider.
Feel free to add other vegetables like chopped onions or bell peppers for added nutrients and flavor.
