Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring an overhang on all sides for easy removal. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and nutmeg until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. Gradually add the flour and baking soda, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles over the top for a festive touch. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. (30-35 minutes)

05

Step

Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve. (60 minutes)

For a fudgier texture, slightly underbake the bars. They will continue to set as they cool.
Feel free to customize the mix-ins with your favorite holiday candies and nuts.
Store cooled bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
