Seal the jar tightly and store in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and not in the refrigerator, for 3 to 4 days to allow the flavors to meld. (3-4 days)

Remove the chile pepper before serving to prevent excessive heat. Serve the marinated feta with crusty bread, crackers, or as part of an antipasto platter. (5 minutes)

For a milder flavor, use a larger chile pepper and remove it after only 1 day of marinating.
Consider adding other aromatics like a bay leaf, a sprig of rosemary, or a few black peppercorns for added complexity.
Ensure the feta is completely submerged in olive oil to prevent spoilage.
The marinated feta can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks after marinating. The olive oil may solidify in the fridge but will return to its liquid state at room temperature. Be sure the feta remains covered in oil.
