Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x10-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.

02

Step
6 mins

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked and crumbly. (5-7 minutes) Drain off any excess grease. Stir in the taco seasoning, ensuring the beef is evenly coated.

03

Step
3 mins

Unroll the crescent roll dough and spread it evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing seams together to create a solid crust. Spoon the refried beans over the crescent roll dough, spreading them in an even layer. Top with the seasoned ground beef mixture. Gently fold or wrap the edges of the crescent roll dough over the beef filling to partially enclose it.

04

Step
13 mins

Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and cooked through. (10-15 minutes) Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Allow the cheese to melt slightly from the residual heat. Finish by scattering the shredded lettuce over the melted cheese before serving.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a thin layer of salsa or diced tomatoes between the refried beans and the ground beef.
Feel free to customize the toppings! Sour cream, guacamole, chopped onions, black olives, or a drizzle of hot sauce all make excellent additions.
To prevent the crescent roll dough from becoming soggy, you can blind bake it for a few minutes before adding the fillings.
Serve with tortilla chips for scooping up any fallen filling!
