For a deeper, smokier flavor, try using smoked paprika instead of sweet paprika. Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the level of heat. Start with less and add more to taste. This rub also works beautifully as a dry brine. Apply it to your chicken several hours (or even overnight) before cooking for enhanced flavor and moisture.
