Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. (2 minutes)

02

Step
3 mins

Arrange banana halves onto the prepared baking sheet, cut-side up. Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar, lemon juice, honey, and orange juice. Cover loosely with another sheet of aluminum foil. (3 minutes)

03

Step
10 mins

Bake for 5 minutes with the foil covering the bananas. Remove the foil and continue baking until the bananas are tender and golden brown, approximately 3 to 5 minutes. (10 minutes)

For a deeper caramel flavor, use dark brown sugar.
A squeeze of lime juice can be substituted for lemon juice for a slightly different citrus note.
Watch the bananas carefully during the final baking stage to prevent burning. Baking times may vary depending on your oven.

Be careful not to overcook the bananas, or they'll get mushy.

I like to add a pinch of sea salt to balance the sweetness.
