Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon-pepper seasoning, cumin, paprika, dried mustard, and garlic powder. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Using a pastry brush, generously brush the mixture over each tilapia fillet, ensuring both sides are well coated. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Cover the marinated tilapia with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld. (1 hour)

04

Step

Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate to prevent sticking. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Spray a large piece of foil with cooking spray and place it on the grill. Carefully transfer the marinated tilapia fillets onto the prepared foil. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Grill the tilapia fillets until they are easily flaked with a fork and cooked through, approximately 5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillets. (10 minutes)

07

Step

Carefully remove the grilled tilapia from the foil and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges and chopped parsley for an extra touch of freshness.

For best results, use fresh, high-quality tilapia fillets.
Adjust the amount of spices according to your personal preference. If you prefer a spicier dish, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
If you don't have an outdoor grill, you can also cook the tilapia in a grill pan on your stovetop or bake it in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
Serve the grilled tilapia with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
To prevent sticking, make sure your grill is properly preheated and oiled before adding the fish. The foil also helps to prevent sticking and keeps the fish moist.
