Follow The Directions

01

Step

Assemble all ingredients for optimal efficiency. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a sturdy, resealable bag (or a non-reactive bowl), combine the honey, mustard, lemon juice, and olive oil. Seal the bag tightly, removing excess air, or whisk vigorously in the bowl. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Massage the bag (or whisk) to emulsify the mixture until a homogenous, golden marinade forms. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Introduce approximately 1 1/2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken pieces or 4 to 6 boneless pork chops to the marinade. Ensure the meat is fully coated. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Seal the bag, expelling any remaining air, or cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for maximum flavor infusion. (1 hour - 8 hours)

For an even more intense flavor profile, consider adding a minced clove of garlic or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
When using a bowl, ensure the meat is submerged in the marinade, turning occasionally.
Before cooking, remove the meat from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes for more even cooking.
Discard any leftover marinade after use; do not reuse.
The marinating time depends on your preference. Taste the marinade along the way for ideal timing.

Be careful not to marinate the chicken for too long, or it can become a bit mushy. I found 4 hours to be the sweet spot.
