Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure it's nice and hot, then lightly coat both grids with cooking spray. (2 minutes)

02

Step

In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, beaten eggs, milk, flour, diced onion, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until a well-combined batter forms. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Carefully pour approximately 1/4 of the hash brown mixture onto the preheated waffle iron, spreading it evenly with a spatula to reach the edges. (1 minute)

04

Step

Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffle is golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your waffle iron.

05

Step

Gently remove the waffle from the iron and repeat with the remaining batter, ensuring the iron is sprayed with cooking spray before each waffle. (5-7 minutes per waffle)

For extra crispy waffles, consider adding a tablespoon of cornstarch to the batter.
Feel free to experiment with different flavor combinations! Try adding chopped cooked bacon, shredded cheese, or diced bell peppers to the batter.
These waffles freeze beautifully. Allow them to cool completely, then wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in a freezer bag. Reheat in a toaster or oven for best results. Microwaving is not recommended.
For a healthier option, substitute part of the hash browns with riced cauliflower or finely chopped broccoli.
