Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Season the chicken strips generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. (2 minutes)

03

Step

In a resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken strips to the bag, seal, and shake vigorously until each strip is evenly coated with the flour mixture. (5 minutes)

04

Step

In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs until lightly beaten. In another shallow bowl, combine the panko bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. (3 minutes)

05

Step

Dip each chicken strip into the beaten egg, ensuring it is fully coated. Then, dredge the egg-soaked strip in the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Place the coated chicken strip onto the prepared baking sheet. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Bake in the preheated oven, flipping the chicken tenders halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 35 to 40 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). (40 minutes)

For extra crispiness, lightly spray the breaded chicken tenders with cooking spray before baking.
Panko bread crumbs provide a superior crispy texture compared to regular bread crumbs. If unavailable, regular bread crumbs can be used, but the texture will be slightly different.
To add a hint of spice, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces such as marinara, ranch, or honey mustard.
