For an even richer flavor, consider adding a splash of heavy cream to the sauce during the last hour of cooking. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking. To enhance the browning of the pork, pat it dry with paper towels before searing. Leftovers are excellent in sandwiches or sliced over a salad.
