Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a medium bowl, combine the kosher salt, granulated garlic, freshly ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, Hungarian paprika, chili powder, onion powder, white sugar, brown sugar, and dry mustard powder. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly until evenly distributed and no clumps remain. (3 minutes)

03

Step

Transfer the dry rub to an airtight container, such as a glass jar or resealable bag. (1 minute)

04

Step

Store in a cool, dark, and dry place for up to 6 months. (0 minute)

For a milder rub, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper.
Feel free to adjust the sugar content to your preference. Dark brown sugar can be substituted for light brown sugar for a richer molasses flavor.
This rub is excellent on ribs, chicken wings, pork shoulder, and brisket. It also adds a delicious depth of flavor to roasted vegetables like potatoes and sweet potatoes.

Great recipe. I halved the cayenne, as I'm spice-sensitive, and it was perfect for my family.

This rub is amazing! I used it on my ribs, and they were a huge hit at the barbecue.

I love the balance of flavors in this rub. It's not too spicy, but it has a nice kick.
