Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Marinade: In a food processor, combine the garlic, soy sauce, sugar, red wine vinegar, tahini, lemon juice, Sriracha sauce, and black pepper. Process until smooth and well-blended. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Marinate the Chicken: Transfer the marinade to a zip-top bag. Add the chicken strips, diced green onions, and toasted sesame seeds. Seal the bag, removing any excess air, and massage the marinade into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to fully penetrate. (3 hours - overnight)

03

Step

Soak the Skewers: While the chicken marinates, submerge the wooden skewers in a container filled with water. Ensure they are fully immersed and soak for at least 2 hours to prevent them from burning on the grill. (2 hours)

04

Step

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat (about 350-450°F or 175-230°C). Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent the chicken from sticking. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Thread the Skewers: Remove the chicken from the marinade and thread the marinated chicken strips onto the soaked wooden skewers. Aim for a neat and even distribution for uniform cooking.

06

Step

Grill the Skewers: Place the chicken skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for approximately 3 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C). The juices should run clear when pierced with a fork. (6-10 minutes)

07

Step

Serve: Once the chicken skewers are cooked through, remove them from the grill. Let them rest for a minute or two before serving. Garnish with extra toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy! (2 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a teaspoon of grated ginger to the marinade.
If you don't have a grill, these skewers can also be cooked under a broiler or in a grill pan.
Serve these skewers with a side of rice or a refreshing cucumber salad for a complete meal.
To prevent sticking, make sure the grill grate is clean and well-oiled before grilling the skewers.
