Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a glass baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. (5 minutes)

02

Step
25 mins

In a medium saucepan, bring water and quinoa to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until quinoa is tender and the water is absorbed, about 15 to 20 minutes. Fluff with a fork and let cool slightly. (25 minutes)

03

Step
10 mins

While the quinoa is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute more. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. (10 minutes)

04

Step
10 mins

In a large bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, sautéed onion and garlic mixture, 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce, beaten eggs, barbeque sauce, hot sauce, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Mix well with a whisk to evenly distribute the ingredients. Gently add the ground turkey and use your hands to thoroughly combine all ingredients without overmixing. (10 minutes)

05

Step
5 mins

Shape the mixture into patties of your desired size and thickness. Place the patties in the prepared baking dish. (5 minutes)

06

Step
2 mins

In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce with the brown sugar to form a paste. Spoon the paste evenly over the top of each patty. (2 minutes)

07

Step
45 mins

Bake in the preheated oven until the patties are cooked through and no longer pink in the center, about 35 to 45 minutes. An internal temperature of 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) is recommended. (45 minutes)

08

Step

Let the baked patties rest for a few minutes before serving on your favorite burger buns with your choice of toppings.

For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of smoked paprika or chili powder to the turkey mixture.
To prevent the patties from sticking, lightly grease the aluminum foil or parchment paper before placing the patties on it.
These burgers are also great grilled! If grilling, brush the patties with olive oil to prevent sticking and grill over medium heat until cooked through.
Leftover baked turkey quinoa burgers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave.
