Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey sausage, shredded Cheddar cheese, Montreal steak seasoning, and crushed fennel seeds. Mix thoroughly by hand until evenly distributed. (5 minutes)

03

Step
3 mins

Gradually incorporate the baking mix, adding it in two halves. Mix well after each addition until the mixture is uniformly combined. (3 minutes)

04

Step
10 mins

Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the mixture and gently roll them into balls. Place the formed balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between each. (10 minutes)

05

Step
25 mins

Bake in the preheated oven until the sausage balls are nicely browned and cooked through, approximately 20 to 25 minutes. To ensure they are fully cooked, an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a ball should register at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). (25 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try using a smoked Cheddar cheese.
If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture.
These sausage balls can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking. Simply add a few minutes to the baking time.
To prevent sticking, lightly grease the baking sheet with cooking spray, even with the parchment paper.
