Consider adding a tablespoon of maple syrup to the gravy for a hint of sweetness. For a spicier gravy, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the skillet along with the flour. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the pan while stirring to prevent the gravy from sticking and burning.
