In a saucepan, combine the sweet peas (partially drained) and cannellini beans (undrained). Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through and about 1/3 of the liquid has evaporated. (Approximately 10 minutes)

Stir in the butter until melted and incorporated into the pea mixture. (2-3 minutes)

Reduce heat to medium. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture becomes creamy and slightly thickened. (5-10 minutes). Serve immediately.

For a richer flavor, use salted butter.
Adjust the amount of black pepper to your preference. Freshly ground is highly recommended!
A splash of cream can be added at the end for extra creaminess.
