Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 11x7-inch baking dish. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion; cook, breaking up the beef with a spoon, until browned and onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease. (Cook time: 7 minutes)

03

Step

Stir in ketchup, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Season generously with salt and pepper. (Prep time: 2 minutes)

04

Step

Using a long serrated knife, carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the entire slab of rolls intact. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish. (Prep time: 3 minutes)

05

Step

Evenly spread the meat mixture over the bottom rolls. Top with the shredded Monterey Jack cheese, ensuring it's evenly distributed. Cover with the top half of the rolls. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

06

Step

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, remaining Dijon mustard, and remaining Worcestershire sauce. Microwave on high until the butter is melted, about 30-60 seconds. Stir until well combined. (Prep time: 1 minute)

07

Step

Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls, ensuring every roll gets a good coating. (Prep time: 1 minute)

08

Step

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until the cheese is melted, gooey, and the rolls are golden brown, about 10 minutes more. (Cook time: 25 minutes)

09

Step

Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a thin layer of caramelized onions to the rolls before adding the meat mixture.
Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese, such as cheddar, provolone, or a spicy pepper jack.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
If you don't have Hawaiian rolls, any sweet rolls will work well.
Sliders are best served warm and are perfect for parties, game days, or a quick weeknight dinner.

Be careful not to overbake them, or the rolls will get too hard.
