Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

On a clean work surface, carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles. Press the perforations together firmly to seal, creating seamless rectangles. Cut each rectangle in half, resulting in 8 smaller rectangles.

03

Step

Place a slice of mozzarella cheese onto each rectangle. Gently roll up the dough, ensuring a snug fit around the cheese. Press the edges firmly to seal, preventing any cheesy escape during baking.

04

Step

Arrange the mozzarella sticks seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This ensures even baking and prevents sticking.

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the crescent rolls are beautifully golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey, approximately 11 to 13 minutes. (Bake time: 11-13 minutes)

06

Step

While the mozzarella sticks are baking, gently warm the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even heating, about 5 minutes. (Sauce prep: 5 minutes)

07

Step

Once the mozzarella sticks are golden, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve immediately with the warm pizza sauce for dipping.

For an extra layer of flavor, brush the tops of the mozzarella sticks with melted garlic butter before baking.
Experiment with different cheeses! Provolone, fontina, or even a spicy pepper jack would be delicious.
If you don't have pizza sauce, marinara or even a pesto dipping sauce would work well.
Make sure to seal the edges of the crescent rolls well to prevent the cheese from leaking out during baking.
