Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step
2 mins

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, Italian seasoning, fresh basil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. (2 minutes)

03

Step
3 mins

Add the ground beef and panko bread crumbs to the bowl. Gently mix with your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender. (3 minutes)

04

Step
10 mins

Using a teaspoon or small scoop, shape the beef mixture into approximately 40 meatballs, each about 1 1/2 inches in size (slightly smaller than golf balls). Place them on ungreased, rimmed baking sheets. (10 minutes)

05

Step
15 mins

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are no longer pink in the center and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center registers at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Turn the meatballs halfway through the baking time to ensure even browning. (15 minutes)

For extra moistness, simmer the cooked meatballs in your favorite tomato sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving.
To add a richer flavor, try browning the meatballs in a skillet with a little olive oil before baking.
Feel free to experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the flavor profile. A pinch of red pepper flakes can add a subtle kick.
For a gluten-free option, substitute the panko bread crumbs with gluten-free bread crumbs or almond flour.
