For a richer flavor, try using a blend of ground beef and ground pork. Adding a can of diced tomatoes will give the goulash a chunkier texture and brighter flavor. Adjust the amount of chili powder to suit your preferred level of spiciness. If you don't have pinto beans on hand, kidney beans or black beans make excellent substitutes.
