Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble the sausage. Cook until browned and no longer pink (approximately 10 minutes). Drain any excess grease and transfer the sausage to a large bowl using a slotted spoon.

02

Step

Scramble the Eggs: Reduce the heat to medium. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are set but still slightly moist (about 5 minutes). Break up any large pieces with a spatula.

03

Step

Combine and Cool: Pour the cooked eggs into the bowl with the sausage. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir gently to combine. Let the mixture cool slightly before assembling the burritos (approximately 15 minutes).

04

Step

Assemble the Burritos: Lay one tortilla on a clean, flat surface. Spoon approximately 1/4 cup of the sausage-egg mixture onto the bottom third of the tortilla, closest to you. Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla over the filling. Fold in both sides of the tortilla towards the center, creating an envelope shape. Tuck and roll the burrito tightly, then place it on a baking sheet seam-side down. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

05

Step

Freeze the Burritos: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours, or until the burritos are firm.

06

Step

Transfer and Store: Once frozen solid, transfer the burritos to a covered, freezer-safe container or freezer bag for longer storage (up to 2 months).

07

Step

Air Fry to Perfection: When ready to cook, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

08

Step

Cook the Burritos: Place the burrito, seam-side down, in the preheated air fryer. Cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through and golden brown.

For extra flavor, consider adding diced onions, bell peppers, or jalapenos to the sausage while cooking.
Feel free to substitute the cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese blend.
To prevent the tortillas from tearing, warm them slightly in a dry skillet or microwave before filling.
Serve with your favorite salsa, hot sauce, or sour cream.

Be careful not to overfill the tortillas, or they'll be hard to roll. Learned that the hard way!

Pro-tip: spray the burritos lightly with cooking oil before air frying for extra crispiness.
