Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, blue cheese dressing, 1/2 cup of the shredded Cheddar cheese, and Buffalo wing sauce. Beat until smooth and well combined. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a separate bowl, slightly mash the drained and rinsed cannellini beans using a fork or potato masher. You want some texture, so don't overdo it. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Gently fold the mashed cannellini beans into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Spread the mixture into a pie pan or baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining Cheddar cheese evenly over the top, followed by the chopped fresh chives. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden, about 20 to 25 minutes. (20-25 minutes)

07

Step

Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or crudités.

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture.
If you don't have cannellini beans, great Northern beans or even chickpeas can be substituted.
To make this dip ahead of time, prepare it up to the baking step, cover, and refrigerate. Add 5-10 minutes to the baking time when cooking from cold.
For a smoother dip, use an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese and other ingredients.

I love that this is a healthier alternative to traditional Buffalo dip. It's just as satisfying, but without all the extra calories.

I added a little extra Buffalo sauce for more heat, and it was perfect!
