For a richer flavor, try using a combination of ground beef and ground pork. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses! Cheddar, provolone, or even a spicy pepper jack would be delicious. If you don't have time to make your own dough, store-bought pizza dough or crescent roll dough can be used as a convenient substitute. Add other vegetables to the filling! Diced carrots, celery, or bell peppers would all be great additions.
