For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a can of drained and rinsed black beans or a cup of frozen corn to the slow cooker. If you prefer a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of your favorite hot sauce. To prevent the cheese sauce from burning or sticking to the bottom of the slow cooker, stir it every 15-20 minutes. Serve hot with your favorite tortilla chips, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and any other desired toppings.
