Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the plain yogurt, curry powder, sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed to suit your preference. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Thread the skewers, alternating cubes of lamb, onion pieces, and dried apricot halves. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Place the assembled sosaties into a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the prepared yogurt sauce over the sosaties, ensuring they are evenly coated. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate. Allow the sosaties to marinate for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully. (8+ hours)

05

Step

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350-450°F or 175-230°C) and lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Carefully place the marinated sosaties on the preheated grill. Grill for approximately 8 to 10 minutes on each side, or until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are slightly charred and tender. (16-20 minutes)

07

Step

Remove the grilled sosaties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in more tender and flavorful lamb.

For an extra smoky flavor, consider using charcoal or wood chips when grilling.
If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before threading to prevent them from burning on the grill.
Serve these delicious sosaties with rice, couscous, or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
