Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, half of the sliced black olives, diced jalapeno peppers, garlic powder, and hot pepper sauce. Mix until well combined. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Spread the cheese mixture evenly into a 9-inch pie pan or oven-safe dish. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and bubbly around the edges. (20 minutes)

05

Step

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining black olives, chopped tomatoes, and sliced green onions evenly over the top. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Serve immediately with tortilla chips, pita bread, or your favorite dippers.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a layer of cream cheese to the bottom of the pie pan before spreading the chili dip mixture.
If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of jalapenos or use mild diced green chilies instead.
This dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake. Add a few minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
Garnish with a dollop of sour cream or guacamole for a richer, more flavorful presentation.

I thought it was a bit too spicy for my taste, so I used half the amount of jalapenos. It was perfect!
