For a richer flavor, try using a combination of ground beef and ground pork or veal. To add a touch of sweetness, brush the meatloaf with a glaze of ketchup or barbecue sauce during the last 10 minutes of baking. If you don't have bread crumbs on hand, you can use crushed crackers or rolled oats as a substitute. Leftover meatloaf makes excellent sandwiches!
